Healthcare Custom Protection Officer
. As a Healthcare Custom Protection Officer, you will be responsible for the physical security of the client's hospital campus and its surrounding grounds. In this position you will perform general security duties in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the client.

Role Responsibility:
Deter criminal activity and misconduct. Investigate suspicious situations; conduct patrol tours
Communicate by use of Secure Trax (TM) , 2-way radios, telephones and computers
Patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue
Maintain required certifications, licensing and training to achieve professional competency as appropriate for the position
Complete required shift logs and reports. Compliance with site post orders, G4S and client policies and procedures
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Must possess, or be able to obtain, a State of Tennessee Armed Security Guard license
Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid driver's license if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
Must have one or more of the following:
Law enforcement experience
Service in the Elite Military Forces, Military Police or combat arms
Graduate of Police/Corrections Academy of service in Auxiliary Police or Police
Criminal Justice Degree, Associate or higher

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
