Job Description:
With food quality and presentation being critically important to fine dining, our Cook 1 Expo must have the ability to contribute positively to our BOH operations. The Cook 1 Expo will assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in all BOH duties while having a thorough working knowledge of food costs and labor in order to operate at the highest levels of efficiency. Each candidate must have the ability to demonstrate these skills and progress quickly through the training process. Cook 1 Expo will also need to flawless execute pre-shift and closing duties as dictated by company standards. Cook 1 Expo will help with pre-shift meeting with servers and FOH managers daily prior to service to discuss that day's offerings. Topics in these meetings may include specials, food preparation, and ingredients used, especially if they may be a potential allergen to some diners.
In addition to our fine dining restaurant, WindRiver host numerous wedding and banquets throughout the year. Our Cook 1 Expo will be utilized accordingly to execute these events. Further, Cook 1 Expo will assist at Top of the Hill Grill, our casual, open-air dining venue located at our temporary golf clubhouse.
Server Job Duties:
Produce High Quality food in Fine Dining discipline. o
Set up and break down work stations o
Maintain a clean and sanitary work station o
Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and recipes o
Knowledge of food product, identification, and acceptable level of food quality o
Ensure food is stored at the appropriate temperature for the appropriate length of time and follows all food safety standards o
Complete daily temperature checks o Must know methods of food preparation, cooking times, and portion sizes to insure food is prepared in prescribed manner o
Evaluate food quality and preparedness by tasting o
Cut, trim, bone and carve meats and poultry for cooking o
Responsible for using correct portions when cutting, preparing, and serving items o
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils o
Must be able to safely operate all kitchen equipment o
Report all injuries immediately to your manager/supervisor o
Understand the proper use of and storage of chemicals used in the location. Be familiar with the chemical MSDS book and its contents.

Server Skills and Qualifications:
Must be able to effectively communicate and understand directions o
Must be able to understand safety rules, Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures o
Excellent customer service and a positive attitude o
Must be able to work in a team environment o
Must be well groomed o
Minimum 1 year experience in the food service industry as a cook o
Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned o
Successful completion of the Serve Safe training within the first 30 days of employment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
