This is a rare opportunity to own one of the most loved Mustangs ever built.
There's little to no chance of finding a car this well cared.
It's a one family-owned car that was bought new in Hendersonville NC.
It's got 85K original miles on it and has been in the same family until the day we bought it.

In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Ford but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

We will start off with the exterior of this Convertible.
The body on it is all rock solid and we can see that all the panels look to be original.
They have a phenomenal fit and look to have been extremely well cared for over the years.
You'll notice all the gaps are even and symmetrical and that the body lines are stunning on it.
This '68 has had some paint work done over the years to repair knicks and scratches, but it also sports a lot of original paint as well.
As you would expect it has some minor imperfections, but no signs of rust or rot.
The paint still has a beautiful shine and presentation.
It's done in the Highland Green that is accented by the Black Top that is power and working.
The top also looks to be original and is just as stunning as the rest of the exterior.
We can see that it features the original CarLite glass all the way around and that all the seals and weather stripping are in great condition.
The stainless trim all has a brilliant shine along with both the front and rear bumpers.
To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 15 Wheels with Firestone Wide Oval white letter tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Mustang.
On the inside it's equally impressive as it looks to be mostly all original.
It's done in the classic black with bucket seats.
We can see it has the black door panels that are all very nice as well.
The dash is equally impressive, and we can see it has the factory gauges that are working as they should and are in great condition.
It also has the factory styled steering wheel along with the factory radio.
The carpet is still in very nice condition, and it has the floor shifter for the automatic trans.
Both front buckets and the rear bench seat are very nice for their age and are a testament to how well it's been cared for.
Inside the trunk is all rock solid as well and it has the factory trunk mat and liner along with having a spare and jack.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford.
Under the hood it's powered by the original 289 V8 engine that looks just like it would have in '68.
The inner fenders and firewall are all in excellent condition and we can still see the factory markings from when it was being built.
The 289 is set up with the factory intake and original Autolite 2 Barrel Carb.
It's dressed in the factory air cleaner and valve covers.
We can see that this is factory Power Steering car and that it comes with standard drum brakes.
For exhaust it has manifolds with the single muffler and the rear exiting pipe.
The 289 is mated to the original C4 Automatic Trans that runs to the original 8 Ford Rear End with 2.
79 Gears.
When you look under this Mustang it's nothing short of impressive.
It's easily one of the best kept convertible mustangs we've ever seen.
It has all the original pans and rockers that are all solid with no signs of damage or rot.
All the frame is equally impressive, and all the suspension is in great condition as well.
